Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Canadian Citizenship Test App ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
1.1 Account and Login Information
Account identifiers: such as email address, name, or a user ID (depending on your login method).
Authentication data: we use secure authentication providers (e.g., Apple Sign In, Google, or email/password if enabled). We do not store your password in plain text.
1.2 Usage and Analytics Data
We use analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve performance and features. Analytics may collect:
App interactions (screens viewed, taps, feature usage)
Session duration and approximate usage patterns
Device information (model, iOS version, language, region)
App version and basic diagnostic events
Approximate location inferred from IP address (city/region level), if provided by analytics services
1.3 Diagnostics and Crash Data
Crash logs, performance data, and error reports
Device and app state information at the time of a crash (to help us fix issues)
1.4 Push Notifications Data
If you enable push notifications, we may collect and process:
Push token assigned to your device by Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
Notification preferences (e.g., enabled/disabled, categories you opt into)
Delivery events (e.g., whether a notification was delivered/opened), if enabled
You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
1.5 Purchases and Subscriptions
The App may offer subscriptions and/or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Apple may provide us with non-sensitive purchase signals (e.g., subscription status) to unlock premium features.
1.6 Support Communications
If you contact support, we may collect your email address and the content of your message.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide and operate the App (including login, syncing progress, and restoring purchases)
Personalize study experience (progress tracking, recommendations, saved questions)
Send push notifications if enabled (study reminders, updates, important service messages)
Measure performance and improve features using analytics
Detect, prevent, and fix crashes and technical issues
Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our policies
Provide customer support and respond to requests
3. Legal Bases (If Applicable)
Where required by law, we process personal data on one or more of the following bases: (a) your consent (e.g., push notifications where applicable), (b) performance of a contract (providing the App features you request), (c) legitimate interests (improving and securing the App), (d) compliance with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited cases:
Service providers: analytics, crash reporting, authentication, and notification services (processing data on our behalf).
App Store / Apple: to process purchases and manage subscriptions.
Legal and safety: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (you will be notified as required).
5. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for login, analytics, crash reporting, and notifications (for example, services such as Firebase or similar). These providers may process certain information as described in this policy and their own privacy policies.
Tip: If you want, tell me the exact providers (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, OneSignal, etc.) and I will tailor this section precisely.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We may retain aggregated or de-identified data longer.
7. Your Choices and Controls
Push notifications: manage in iOS Settings at any time.
Analytics: if our analytics provider supports opt-out controls, we will honor those where technically feasible.
Account: you may request account deletion (see Section 9).
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
Account deletion request: You can request deletion by contacting contact@azadstudio.net. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate protections for such transfers where required by law.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the Effective Date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the App.
13. Our Website and Advertising
This section covers azadstudio.net — our website and the ad landing pages for this app — rather than the app itself, which is described above.
When you visit our website or one of the landing pages we advertise, we and the providers below may record: the pages you view and which version of a page you were shown; the address of the page that referred you; your browser's user-agent string and the device and platform we derive from it; your country; simple interactions such as scrolling three quarters of the way down a page or pressing a download button; and, if you arrive from one of our ads, the identifiers Google adds to the link (gclid, wbraid, gbraid) together with campaign, keyword and utm parameters.
We do not store your IP address. It is converted to an irreversible salted hash, so repeat visits can be counted without identifying you, and your country is determined on our own servers rather than by sending your address to anyone else.
We use:
Google Analytics 4 — how the site is used: visits, page views, approximate location, device and referral data.
Google Ads conversion tracking — tells Google when a visit that began with one of our ads reached a download button, so we can measure what our advertising achieved.
Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps, scroll depth and session replay, which record how a page was used (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) rather than who used it.
Google and Microsoft process this data under their own privacy policies, which involves it being handled outside your country.
Your choices. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask you before any of this is enabled: until you accept, advertising and analytics storage is denied and no cookies are set for those purposes. Your answer is remembered on our website for 180 days, and you can change it at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer of any page. Elsewhere these measurements run by default.
Full details are in our website privacy policy.
